They’ve set the incentive at nearly 17 thousand dollars.

Not only did the two men, who are believed to be French, lure the squirrel to the edge of a cliff using breadcrumbs, they had video of the act taken and uploaded to YouTube.

The tourist who did the actual recording and posting of the clip said he didn’t have any information about who the duo is.

He also expressed his regrets about helping them as he was unaware of what they’d planned to do.

If the offenders are caught they face both a 5 thousand dollar fine and or up to six months of jail time.

The official charge awaiting them is disturbing or harassing wildlife.

Animal cruelty penalties are unlikely as it would require finding the squirrel and proving it had been injured or killed as a result of their act.
