DARPA Plans Kilowatt-class Lasers for More and Smaller Aircraft

DARPA’s prototype High-Energy Laser Area Defense System would pack a 150-kilowatt laser into an assembly ten times smaller than existing airborne lasers, allowing for more and smaller aircraft to carry them.
