If the French public is supportive of a ban on Pro-Palestinian protests, it’s because of the potential for violence, and the rise in the number of anti-Semitic incidents.
As reported in Le Figaro, the polling firm Ifop found that a majority of the French support the ban imposed by the government last week on some protests because they posed a risk of violence.
But as for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict itself the majority of those polled support neither the Palestinians nor Israelis.
Libération reports on the anti-Semitic incidents in France, as events unfold in Gaza.
And Les Echos features a report on where anti-Semitic incidents are most prevalent.
