Firing continues in Lahore clash; seven militants, two Elite Force men killed

LAHORE: Firing was under way in a clash between security forces and suspected militants during an operation in Lahore on Thursday.

The clash and exchange of fire with militants holed up in a compound in Lahore’s Raiwind Road area was continuing and police was trying to enter it but had not been successful. Children were heard crying from inside the compound.
