Opposition parties have launched a scathing attack on former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan after the Election Commission (EC) issued a showcause notice to him in the paid news case. Despite the notice in paid news case Chavan remained defiant. Meanwhile the Shiv Sena has demanded the disqualification of Chavan from the Lok Sabha.
