Government gifts unscheduled load shedding in Ramadan ,LAHORE- Power crisis in the country has once again intensified as electricity shortfall has now surged over 6,000 Megawatts.
According to our sources, demand for electricity by Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) alone has doubled. LESCO Chief, Rao Zamir said his company’s electricity quota is 2,647 MW, while the demand has risen beyond 4700MW. Consequently, the system gets overloaded and they have to resort to power outages.
