Slovenians have been going to the polls on Sunday.

Centre-left candidate Miro Cerar is expected to win and will be charged with implementing privatisation reforms agreed with the EU and cut the country’s debt.

Cerar created his Party of Miro Cerar (SMC) six weeks ago and is leading opinion polls.

It will be Slovenia’s fourth government since the financial crisis in 2008.
