In the caves of a mountain situated around 10 kilometers away from Quetta, more than nine million rare Holy copies of Quran lay preserved. This mountain was named as Jabl-e-Noor-al-Quran in 1992. Locals consider the caves of this mountain as a place where they can get closer to Allah during the month of Ramzan.
Twenty two years ago, four friends, two of whom were brothers, began to preserve the Shaheed Copies of the Holy Book in the caves of this mountain, now called as Jabl-e-Noor-al-Quran. Holy copies from all parts of the country are brought here and saved in manually built tunnels.
An effort which was taken up by four friends in 1992 continues to date and more than nine million holy scripts are present now in these caves.
