Recently, Joan Rivers walked off the set during an interview with CNN host Fredricka Whitfield after their discussion got a little heated.

Days after that exchange, Rivers sat down with David Letterman and learned exactly what’s like to be walked out on. On ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’, the topic quickly turned to the CNN incident.

When asked about it, the 81-year-old actress said she thought the interviewer was ‘very judgmental, very nasty, very opinionated, very negative’. She then remarked ‘It was just like my wedding night’.

Of course, the crowd got a good laugh, so the two continued speaking about it. Letterman suggested Rivers walked off the set as part of a PR stunt to promote her new book titled ‘Diary of a Mad Diva’ .

She denied that and started talking about how she was turned down for an ad for depends. Right after that, Letterman got out of his seat and walked off stage, giving Rivers a little taste of her own medicine.
