The mother of one of three Israeli teenagers recently abducted and found dead in the West Bank has condemned the murder of a Palestinian youth, executed in an apparent reprisal-style killing last week.
Rachel Frankel, the mother of Naftali Frankel said: “The murderers of our children, whoever sent them, whoever helped them, whoever incited towards that murder, will all be brought to justice. But it will be them and no innocent people. No mother or father should go through what we are going through now, and we share the pain of the parents of Mohammed Abu Khadir.’‘
Earlier the mother, father and other family members including the cousin of murdered Mohammed Abu Khdeir met with Palestianian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The 15-year-old was abducted outside his home in East Jerusalem and later burned alive.
Officials in Israel say three out of six Israeli suspects arrested on Sunday had confessed to the crime.
Despite condemnation on all sides, the teenager’s death has triggered days of violent protests in Arab areas of Jerusalem and northern Israel.
The militant Palestinian group Hamas, which Israel has blamed for killing the three Israeli teenagers, earlier vowed revenge against Israel’s air strikes on Gaza.
