GIVENCHY stood out this season from the inclination of the other maisons of presenting relaxed and light attires. As a matter of fact Riccardo Tisci designed garments, which were the fusion between a dark urban aspect and a hard military one; all crafted in black & white graphics. The presence of a street spirit was underlined by the use of black & white and leather, while the military part by the great number of zips, pockets and heavy-duty boots. Furthermore all such was strongly highlighted by the determined walk of the models, which sent a sense of self-confidence, and enhanced the decisiveness of this collection. The location played an important role as well; the circular room enabled the public to observe the attires from several points of view, while the sculpture of a dissectioned plane in mid air gave a further perception of an industrial and urban environment.
