Australia says the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 will shift further south in the Indian Ocean.

The Australian Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss told journalists that investigators identified the area after a review of satellite data and early radar information

(SOUNDBITE) (English) AUSTRALIAN DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER WARREN TRUSS SAYING:

"The new priority area is still focused on the same seventh arc in the southern Indian Ocean, where the aircraft last communicated with satellite. We are now shifting our attention to an area further south along that arc, broadly in the area where our first search efforts were focused. The area has already been subject to aerial and visual searching for wreckage and debris, but now we will move to an underwater search."

It's been over 100 days since the plane disappeared shortly after taking off from Kuala Lumpur bound for Beijing.

This ushers in another new phase of the long, costly and so far fruitl
