Information technology company, Broadview Networks, has created a graphic map showing the largest business in each state according to their headquarter location, based on the most recent fiscal year data from business research firm, Hoover’s, Inc.

Information technology company, Broadview Networks, has created a graphic map showing the largest business in each state according to their headquarter location, based on the most recent fiscal year data from business research firm, Hoover’s, Inc.

The company that tops the list is Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., based in Bentonville, Arkansas, with a reported revenue of around 476 billion dollars.

Exxon Mobil Corporation landed at number two as the largest company in Texas, with revenue of just over 438 billion dollars, followed by Chevron Corporation based in San Ramon, California with revenue of around 228 billion.

Coming in at number four is the multinational conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. based in Omaha, Nebraska, which has revenue of about 182 billion dollars.

General Motors, based in Detroit, Michigan had the fifth largest revenue of any other company on the list at over 155 billion.

Mike Simmons, who worked on compiling the information to create the map reportedly left out corporate subsidiaries, government institutions, and companies with foreign offices.
