An abandoned slate mine is now home to a new trampoline park. It’s called ‘Bounce Below’ and is said to be the “ world's first and largest underground trampoline installation”.


An abandoned slate mine is now home to a new trampoline park. It’s called ‘Bounce Below’ and is said to be the “ world's first and largest underground trampoline installation”.

‘Bounce Below’ is located in the Llechwedd caverns in Wales, UK and it’s scheduled to open next month on July 4th. The slate quarry caverns are outfitted with lights that will provide an awesome background while visitors jump to their heart's content.

The caverns are about twice the size of St Paul’s Cathedral, so that provides plenty of room for people to bounce around. Patrons are given cotton overalls and a helmet for safety. They are taken to the underground playground via a train.

Sean Taylor, who is the owner of Zip World, the adventure company that operates Bounce Below, said “There are three giant trampolines with three metre net walls to stop people climbing out. Each is linked by a slide to go down and a walkway to go up – the biggest slide is 60ft.”

One of the trampolines is situated about 180 feet in the air. Underground zip lines are planned for the park later in 2014.
