Today we're talking about Whiskey Stones. I had no idea what whiskey stones were but I have an uncle who considers himself a connoisseur of fine liquors. So I was looking for something for him that would be a cool gift to him since he is the kind of guy that has pretty much everything. I found these whiskey stones which are very cool.
Whiskey Stones are cubes of solid soapstone that will chill any of your drinks; they will keep the drink cold without diluting it. What's special about this whiskey stone is that you get a free VIP card which gives you access to some great recipes to use with your whiskey stones.

For those of you who don't drink alcoholic beverages, they're also really great if you drink coffee in the mornings. Sometimes when I'm drinking tea, I'm also doing many different things at the same time. Often times I find that I put down the tea to do something else then come back about 20 minutes later to find it being cold.
You can warm up your whiskey stones in hot water and you can put them in your tea or coffee (or any other warm beverage) to keep it warm, but they're also great for iced beverages.
My husband likes to drink iced tea without the ice but of course, he wants to keep it cold. So when I went and got my uncle some whiskey stones for his birthday,I also bought some for my husband. You can use it to keep drinks cold, to keep drinks hot, plus you look cool putting stones in your drink. :)

They come in a very nice velvet pouch. So you get it, rinse them off, put them in the freezer and then they get cold really fast. You should put about 3 or 4 into your drink for it to stay nice and cool. Another cool thing about this is the stones don't melt. Apparently, for a lot of whiskey and other drinkers, it is a problem to use ice since it dilutes the drink. It's the worst thing when you have a drink and it gets completely diluted with the water and this is especially bad for whiskey drinkers.
