A South African man is getting some serious credit for the way he proposed to his girlfriend at Kansas City International Airport.

Instead of allowing plane passengers to sit back and watch him ask the woman to marry him, George Erasmus asked fellow travelers to take part in the proposal. Luckily they agreed.

As his girlfriend, Ashley Kracht, waited to greet her man at the airport, she met each passenger that was exiting the plane because they all walked up to her and gave her flowers. At first, Kracht had no idea what was going on but she accepted the gifts from the strangers.

Finally Erasmus emerged, also holding flowers. He gave Kracht a kiss and a hug before getting down on one knee. Everything worked out in his favor, as Kracht said yes with a big smile, officially making her a bride-to-be.

Erasmus remarked “I've been planning this since like January, so it's been a long wait. It's hard to keep secrets, so I was excited.” The couple met three years ago while Kracht was working as a missionary in South Africa.
