A UPS driver in Texas has been accused of wounding two dogs with a box cutter. Laura Crowell is the owner of both animals named Samson and Shaymus.
According to her, her pets were outside in the front yard of her home, which is surrounded by an invisible fence. On Friday, a UPS driver reportedly got into a fight with the dogs while delivering a package.
She and her husband raced home and found a UPS package near their door, surrounded by a pool of blood.
More blood was spotted on the driveway and inside the home, as the animals went through the doggy door after the alleged attack. Samson was cut numerous times and required 50 stitches and staples in his mouth. Shaymus has a gash down the side of his face.
Crowell remarked “My dogs are big and they bark. Yes they bark, but they're not aggressive. We get deliveries all the time, and in 6 years never had this happen.”
The case is now under investigation. The UPS driver could face animal cruelty charges but thus far, no arrests have been made. UPS executives are also looking into the allegations.
