They asked me to load the dishwasher
They say it is my turn
They say it'll be good for me
And that I really need to learn

So why do I want to kill myself
Over a thing that's not an art
What they don't seem to know is
Its going to break my heart

If I leave my room, my cage
If I rise out of my bed
My heart will crack in two
And my body turn to lead

I know they'll ask again
And I don't know what to say
The only option is
Ill just have to obey

You may think I'm dramatic
Or that I'm lazy to the core
What you don't understand is
I'm depressed and nothing more

I'm not using an excuse
Ill go and do the task
But next time try and think
Of what it is you ask

The world will go on turning
If I do the job or not
So why can't I stay in bed
And let the dishes rot!
