Shouvik Narayan Hore - Sing Thy Heart

Sing thy heart, O melancholy lyre,
Sing thy heart and soul,
Sing thy tears to that exhausting fire,
Sing for those dreams to unfold.

Sing of the brook that runs by swiftly,
Sing of lost rivers and plains,
Sing of that bard walking corn fields gently,
Sing of painless clouds in rains.

Sing of the steep snowy drenched mountain slopes,
Sing of the fountains beneath,
Sing of the birds lain basking their feathers,
Sing for the world underneath thy feet.

Sing, O Sing! My dear, dear, heart!
Sing loud for the mind to flee,
All its naked thoughts forever in dark,
And die in thy songs of glee. 18 July,2013
