In the beginning
We were rejected by the world
We arrived from different nations
Different bloodlines
We arrived from persecution for our beliefs
We arrived from slave trades forced to leave our families
We arrived from governments that have collapsed and become corrupt
We have escaped from dictatorships
The US has always welcomed those that seek her protection
We created a new kind of democracy
One where the will of the people control the country
And by the constitution
We have changed to accommodate all who live here
As the US grows older we grow stronger
We recognize and value every citizen
We change and become wiser to the needs of every American
We have become examples to the world
and thus we have become envied
Because of our success we are subject to hate
But for those who yearn for freedom and dream of it
The world needs The United States
For we are an example of freedom
Sure the US has it's share of problems
And the US needs to continue to grow and change
By the will of the people
The US will progress
If you compare the US to all other countries
There is no comparison
Over 500 million people live in a country bigger than Europe itself
And to compare what happens to one small country and what happens in the United States
There is no comparison
Name one country in the world where the people as free as the people of the US
Our poorest live in wealth compared to the poor of other countries
Not one country sacrifices as much lives as the US to help the world in crisis
The US spreads it's own wealth to other governments even when they are our enemies
If the US was to stop and leave the world to itself
There would be chaos.
