Theresa Ann Moore - Spring Tease

The bare branches of winter barren trees
Mellow in the caressing sunlit breeze…
A yearning is surfacing as buds begin to swell
A red breasted robin explores with ease

Dwellers emerge from their dens… sniffing the air
An uplifting surge smoothes depressing thoughts
Taking a stroll for no other reason than to enjoy
The fresh balmy thaw of Spring is gleefully sought

Pale green blades of grass suddenly chill…
Snow has reappeared with silent treason
Without remorse it steals away enthusiasm
Stifling the waking yawn of the flowering season
