A butterfly on the verge of marriage
sought a word for 'the doings of fairies'
and fixed at last on 'fairiage'.

She lumped lovers with madmen and poets:
'All three forsooth, ' thought she
(or 'Forsooth all three') ,
aren't happy with what they see.
Lovers seek to turn it pretty.
Madmen can't help but turn it worse.
Poets study its mistake
then try to make
a better universe.'

Glowing with such thoughtful barrage,
she fluttered into the bridal carriage.
