And in Death all shall be made equal.
Great men powers they all shall be lost,
Like a grain of sand on seashore.
When their breathe are at last and their last breathe drawn,
They shall lay helpless like an eclipsed sun.
Iron pillars in their hearts shall be broken,
And grudge unforgiven shall now be forgotten.
Bite them hard they shall not bark back;
And in Death all shall be made equal.

And in Death all shall be made equal.
Lines of Beauty shall be undone;
By the hands of time, their curves worn.
Scalene triangles of the face shall be made even;
In the earth, they who once dwelt in heaven.
Though they be perfumed they shall rot;
Though the flesh be coated with gold, theirs shall rust.
Though candles be lighted their eyes shall be dark;
And in Death all shall be made equal.

And in Death all shall be made equal.
No more tears from the weary eyes leave,
Or does piercing crow disturb the sleep.
Where the sky was once limited may beyond the sky be the limit
Of a dream dark and gloom and no less vivid.
Though they seem beaten and broken on eart,
Silently their snores of peace resonates through the dirt.
Rest in the peace till the peace rest no more;
And in Death all shall be made equal.
