Taller than the trees
Long legs, wobbly knees
White powder on pale cheeks
I have been practicing for weeks
For the act of my lifetime
150 tiny stairs to climb
Hundreds of feet, high in the air
A trapeze artist, I fly with flair
All alone in this world
My loneliness unfurled
Swinging from bar to bar
Reality never too far
My life at times
May appear to be bleak
In opposites universe
I am a circus freak
