Sometimes when the evening’s first twilight
folds over me and the air changes from blue
to grey, I think of you
while the day so suddenly becomes night
as if you can walk in here at any moment

and it’s like another night
where we were together
and watched the sunset
on the porch
while we celebrated dinner
and I wonder if that hour
also wakes up thoughts with you
which you remember like I do?
