ive got nothin to give this world
and nothing from it i want to take

theres only one thing to stir me
its my will to survive
thatll push me through this journey
its instinct
that will to crawl on and not roll over
im not just along for the ride
i steer this roller coaster
so hear this holy roller
fear not these demons shouldered
smoulder and melt away by the fires of my ambition
i stir myself awake when i find my soul twisting
search my insides when i find my soul missing
thank god for writing
thank god im still trying
my heart is still fighting
jolted by lightning
in the middle of inside evanescense
lie my past and life's lessons
whew, i take a deep breath.
im ready for another day
its now the middle of night and im wide awake
