Comedy "22 Jump Street," starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum gunned down the competition at the box office over the weekend with $60 million in ticket sales.

Hill and Tatum play police officers who return to college -- undercover.

It was followed by "How to Train Your Dragon 2," the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster, which brought in $50 million from Friday through Sunday in U.S. and Canadian ticket sales.

And third in the weekends box office mix with $19 million is Disney's take on "Sleeping Beauty," "Maleficent," starring Angelina Jolie. Since the movie's release on May 30 it's totaled more than $436 million globally.
