Looking into my new mirror
To see what I could see
I saw a stranger looking face
Was staring back at me
It bore me no resemblance
To the person I once knew
A face now full of wrinkles
Far more than just a few
A nose so slightly broken
An ear had once been torn
Not sure it really was my face
I’m sure it’s too well worn
The face I can remember
Well shaven very clean
Wasn’t quite the same
As the one that I’d just seen
The stupid mirror that I bought
Shows many imperfections
So it’s going back from where it came
With its faulty wrong reflections
