The seed was planted long ago
Placed in a spot with no sun
It was never watered and not much loved
But to some great odd it grew
It was not pretty did not bloom
It stayed locked up inside
Till the day you came around
And put it in the sun
You watered it with love and joy
And before your eyes it opened
It was not red, or blue, or green,
Pink, purple, or yellow.
To your eyes only, it showed its color
Not just one but all
For each little color of the rainbow
There was a special petal
This rose is very special
It only blooms for those who love it
Color only shows for those who want to see
But it is always there to brighten up the day
See you have to be open to see all it can bring
For bueaty lives in all of us and only few can see
But if you open up your mind youll find all of us
Has something special inside
