She wags her tail when we come home,
and jumps, and greets us gladly;
we've never seen her looking glum,
except when she was poorly.
She doesn't have to work, it's true,
or worry about bills and taxes.
But anyway, she seems more balanced,
psychologically, than us -
her more sophisticated owners.
