Among the many kids I walked
Small and frail, carrying a load of books,
For the new year has comefor the new class,
I felt the mood in the children,
the happiness of new books, friends,
Tachers and the thrill of being a senior!
As the time passed by, we did feel,
The absence of girls, whom we parted
To the new girls school.
Some did try to go the girls school,
Only to be chased away,
By the old time gatekeeper.
It was in this schoo, that
We did most of our time,
made friends, learned to behave,
be cultured and be a good citizen.
Police doctors, nurses, Politicans,
drivers, masons, farmers we became,
yet we didn't loose touch,
With our beloved school which had
harly four walls and a roof.
Teachers have come and gone,
dead and loved, yet the school stayed
Stately and wonderful as ever.
How many more decades this school
Will teach our kids, I wonder!
Since we have Computers and The net,
Which mayl make our children not
Got to school, for stdies, Iam afraid!
