Thinking of you

Wondering if you were
On the other side
With thoughts of me
Watching the waves wash ashore
Wondering if you are doing the same
I feel your presence
My heart skipped a beat
Is it a dream?
Oceans between

Looking out at the horizon
Remembering what you once said
Touch the ocean and feel me near
All shades of blue and green
You too love your walks on the beach
Collecting sea shells
Remembering what you once said
As if the ocean is beckoning me
To touch it
Feel the thrill in my finger tips
So near
Yet so far
Oceans between
No need for wonder
You are there
Doing as I am
Touching each other
Yet oceans between
No matter how near or far
