For, From, and Because of
Ogden Nash,
Thanks

Nashing

I sit and read my Ogden Nash
Beneath my chestnut tree
The wind of inspiration blows
And wisdom falls on me
(and chestnuts too)

Olden Nash

Wisdom grows they say
With age, each passing day
At what age, in what theory
Does wisdom change to weary
Minds once bright begin to fade away

Robin Nash

A robin sits
And looks at me
“Have you any cake
For tea, I don’t
Sing for free
You see”

Young Ogden

“Is Ogden coming out to play”
The other children called
Their names were Ungatt
Gilken, Fung, and hey!
They think Ogden’s name’s OK!
