She has her eye on the ball
It fly’s by in the blink of an eye
Fast as lightening it goes over the plate
She swings, “strike one” yells the umpire
Here we go again, stay focused

The pitcher releases the ball
It comes faster than the last ball the she threw
She swings strongly, like an elephant on a rampage
“Strike two” yells he umpire
Come on, come on, and stay focused

Now it’s all down to me
The bases are loaded and there are two outs
Two strikes against me, I need this hit
I know I can do this, I know I can
Here it comes, stay focused

She blinks once, and swings away
A hit! She can’t believe her eyes
Neither can the other team
The four of us run the bases
Like dog’s chasing after one another, staying focused

One, Two, Three, Four
Our runs count up on the scoreboard
We’re ahead of the other team now
It feels like a cheetah claiming its prize after a hunt
And its all because I know to, stay focused
