They say everything about a person changes
Everything but their eyes
But do they see the sadness
You’ve caused these orbs to hide?
How these eyes wish they saw happiness
Oh how they wish to shine
How they wished to be closed tight at night
Right next to yours every time
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
You were sunset, ocean and rain
Not once did these eyes wander from you
Not once did they look away
But the times they sparkled bright with hope
With laughs and not a care
Just made them well up all the more
When you caused them much despair
They say the eyes mirror the soul
How beautiful she must be
These eyes often wish you’d open your own
To set your spirit free
But now these eyes grow tired
How you shook them to the core
For those eyes that used to adore you so
Cant and wont cry over you anymore
