MY SHADOW


When I look up to God and pray for His blessings,
And seek His divine light;
His radiance covers my face,
And penetrates my inner mind!
My shadow then I cannot see,
For it is left way behind!

But when I turn my face away from Him,
And fail to seek the divine light,
My shadow is stretched out right in front,
And all brightness is left behind!
