He had a plan that He presented to us
And what a brilliant plan it was
He wanted something spectacular
It wasn’t just heavenly buzz

It didn’t happen by chance, my friend
Oh no, He had many reasons
To give us hope and to inspire
No matter which one of His seasons

He wanted us to see His love
Vividly across the sky
To send a message He was there
When we hurt so much we’d cry

He wanted to make us smile
As we watched the day begin
Oh yes, he knew what he was doing
Wasn’t that thoughtful of Him?

So when you get up in a morning
Look up at the sky in surprise
When it looks too beautiful to be real
Remember it’s God’s brilliant sunrise!
