Nature New Builds - Construction of Nature
She is coming back in pink and green
in the brightest reds and blues with tints of brown
Foddering flies by day and bats by night
Still and flowing water in our sight
Unseen babies sharp as sewing pins
Nosing out the compost of the bins
She is coming back she's back in town
and all her old escorts are coming round
Straw adorned and random gathered shirt
Whispering through reeds and whistling tunes
Nestling in her gulleys and spitoons
Maybe nests and burrows as before
In between her breasts she is a haw
She is a hazel, holly, birch and beech
Sluggish in the sodden outer reach
Blossoms where the angry soil was turned
and where the tar and bricks had baked and burned
she is coming back in pink and green
persicorial and evergreen
