sadness lingers longer
sadness is more inspiring
happiness makes me weaker
happiness makes me dumb
sadness breeds heartfelt poetry
sadness is like air
like water...like rain
sadness colors my world
makes everything seem real
heat throbs with deeper percussion
thoughts swim in darker waters
mysterious...unfathomable...vast
sadness promises freedom
freedom from these bonds
one night this sadness will combust
and everything will soon be done.
