A New Fantasy
How could you give me a present
that showed up my incompetence
to such disadvantage…
Kids do it all the time, I can do it too
changing dreams when I find the old
depends on
Matters out of my control - I’ll give up
the old one, to be replaced with something
new
According to quantum physics, there
are infinite alternatives – though my dream
failed
Though I cry tonight, tomorrow I shall
construct a new
fantasy…
Sliding Down Banisters*
I crashed my intellectual car into a wall
when I tried to make sense of it all; focusing
on Edgar Cayce, American seer, and reading
Seth Speaks by Jane Roberts; made me
despondent
Then I tried to visualize myself as a brave
civil servant, using the power of imagination
to see myself filing with joy, creating statistics
with love – but I have to confess, it did not
work out at all
Finding myself unable to face the reality
I tried to inhabit through visualization, I
returned to the comfort and safety of
Fairytales – and the magic returned,
I am free again
To live in a space where a witch and a
cat and a frog are reigning the lift, making
the caretaker’s life so much fun, while
terrorizing everyone employed
in the building
Even considering to make the lift sing;
though the caretaker did not approve,
he loved sliding down banisters with
the witch and the cat and the
frog!
