Pink poodle with diamond studded collar
Stares out of a window
Of a fashionable brownstone
At the shivering homeless men
Gathered around a corroded barrel
Holding up grimy hands
To the cracking warmth
Of a makeshift fire.
Like the snap of a dropping icicle
With insincere alacrity
The men and dog
Lock unblinking balls of jelly
Wondering
At the
Inhumanity
Of it
All.
