Rio de Janeiro, Jun 12 (EFE), (Camera: Juan Yagüe).- Copacabana, a tourist area in Rio de Janeiro, was the scenario where both demonstrators and football fans met on the first day of the World Cup. While some hundred fans watched the game on FIFA Fan Fest's giant screens at Copacabana beach, dozens of people protested against the excessive costs of the Cup and asked the Government to invest in education and health care instead.
