to have your dad tell you he loved you then wake up and it was just a dream
do you know how it feels to never have a choice
to speak up but nobody hears your voice
do you know how it feels to have someone hit you because you cried
then someone asked what happened and you had to lie
or to have your stepdad get messed up on drugs and threaten you and your family
but you couldnt do anything about it because you knew he'd go crazi
do you know how it feels to see someone you love try to commit suicide
then watch your mom break down and cry
do you have a little brother or sister that you'll never get to see
cause your father thinks his kids are something he doesnt really need
do you know how it feels to live in fright
but you never knew why
if you dont know how all this feels then you'v never lived my life
