i (laying with sheets strewn
across my naked body,
like clouds across the moon)
always seem to get to sleep, by her:
as if she was the night itself. i
always dream (to get to sleep by her)
and when, like old age, comes the inescapable dawn, the blast
of my alarm clock, I learn to stop dwelling upon the past.
