Though life blinds us sometimes
With false beauty and temptation
Let your lighthouse shine the light
So that we God’s children won’t lose sight
Let us keep close to thee lest we
Be tossed beneath the furious waves of life
Drowned by our own guilt and strife
Light the way and teach us to follow therein
Free from the darkness brought on by sin
Let us rest upon the rock until
You call us home one day
Show us our weaknesses
For it is unto thee I solemnly pray
Let us then stand before thee
As you say to us: “Have no fear for I know
You tried my will to obey, although
You failed many times you repented
So those sins are gone away
You accepted me as your Lord and your King
Your love for me from others you did not hide
So with me your sins have been forgiven and crucified!
