Thank heavens you ruled above
showing off an effulgence so clear
I would see the potholes and gravel ruts
manholes storm drains broken bottles and grates
Pitfalls making night rides treacherous

When I stepped out of the garage
You beamed a smile burst in sky
Tension melted away, lifted hopes higher
And sang a bright lunar melody
If only you could re-arrange all my worries

Not something most would choose
Night rides make no sense to those unbroken
I'm bound to this road that finds me true
Got wheels to take me beyond today
in full light blessings, my ever-lovin' moon
