We all walk through life
like we are wearing Barbed wire sneakers
Afraid to step wrong way
afraid to once again to be cut
to tread lightly among people
who like you
wear the same Barbed wire sneakers
Unable to remove them
we bleed a little each day
never looking a stranger In the eye
never letting them in your heart
Every move we make
we bleed
every word we say
we hemorage
every religon we practice
we gush crimson
every step we take another tear flows
So we walk slowly through life
afraid to open up more healing scars
like we are tip toeing through the tulips
yet knowing the pain will continue
we all walk through those tulips anyway
Wearing Barbed wire sneakers
