Terry Donovan - Two Telephones

We're just two telephones away.
I wonder if she'll call today?
I want to hear her speak and say
That she is well and all's ok,
To hear her words come down the line.
I wonder, is she missing mine?

We're just two telephones apart,
But will we have a heart-to-heart?
Be close together for a while?
Will I get to 'hear' her smile
And tell me things I need to know?
I'm sitting, waiting, hoping so.

We're just two telephones afar,
So many miles between us are
But when she whispers in my ear,
The miles evaporate - she's here!
I hear her voice and spring is springing

I must end now................

The phone is ringing!
