The man sat on his chair, on his porch
I did not know his name
So i would address him as sir
My mother said, dont ask him
He will be offended, but i had to know
He sat there, with his white cane
With his dark glasses, that covered his eyes
I approached the porch and said hello
He said hello young boy, which i thought strange
He couldn't see, then he said
Your voice is young and fresh to the ear
We sat and talked then i said
Can you see your dreams, then he laughed
His face was filled with joy, then he said
I dream what i hear, i picture what i hear
My mind does hear, what i see
Tell me a story and i will dream it tonight
So i told him what i saw
When i went to the beach
Told him of the birds, that nest in the forest
He smiled and listened, then he said
What you have told me, is a thing of dreams
