I'm in a city chock full
There's a blanket of smoke
A place where knowledge is considered a joke
So there goes the hope
A group of people with the narrowest minds
Instead of trying to find a way
They'd rather waste their lives
The majority are dropping like flies
Painful to me
To see a couple good ones die
Failing to realize
There's no reason they should stay in the streets
They've been deluded into thinking it's the place to be
An invisible chain
Explain why they can't be free
Such a slave to their own mentalities
In actuality
Just as able as the people with cash
But so accustom to this living
Hard and fast
The questions unasked are the important ones
In need of a voice
Until I see a change
There's no other choice
